THE Specialist Hospital (500-bed) in Yangon successfully performed its 40th liver transplant surgery on 3 July, involving a 48-year-old male patient and his 25-year-old niece as the liver donor. Both are receiving post-operative care in the intensive care unit and are reported to be in stable condition.
