Union Minister for Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation U Hsan Oo attended the first central committee meeting of the Myanma Gems Emporium at the Maniyadana Jade Hall in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday, together with committee members and officials from the Myanmar Gems and Jewellery Entrepreneurs Association (MGJEA).

During the meeting, the Union minister said discussions would focus on successfully holding the 61st Myanmar Gems Emporium, completing repairs to the earthquake-damaged Maniyadana Jade Hall on schedule, and renovating the Gemstone Emporium (Nay Pyi Taw). He added that the exhibition aims to increase foreign income, support MSME development, improve financial flows for local entrepreneurs and create more job opportunities.

Committee members and industry officials reported on their respective tasks, including renovation progress at the Maniyadana Jade Hall and the Gemstone Emporium. MGJEA officials also briefed the meeting on their ongoing work. The Union minister coordinated the necessary arrangements and delivered concluding remarks.
