The Pyithu Hluttaw continued its session for the eighth day yesterday, with the attendance of Speaker U Khin Yi, the Deputy Speaker and Pyithu Hluttaw representatives.

The Pyithu Hluttaw continued for the seventh day yesterday, attended by 348 out of 351 Hluttaw representatives.

Pyithu Hluttaw Speaker U Khin Yi received a donation of 450 copies of books yesterday afternoon at the Pyithu Hluttaw Guest Hall, contributed by Pyithu Hluttaw Representative U Thet Naing Oo for the study and reading reference of parliamentarians and staff.

The Pyithu Hluttaw’s second regular session continued for the sixth day at its convention hall in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday morning.

Pyithu Hluttaw Speaker U Khin Yi received writers led by writer U Kyi Thein (Ka Phoe Kyin), a member of Panel of Patrons of the Nay Pyi Taw Literary Circle, at the Pyithu Hluttaw guest hall yesterday morning.

The second regular session of the Third Pyithu Hluttaw was held for the fifth day at its building in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday morning, attended by 349 out of 351 Pyithu Hluttaw representatives.

​​​​​​​Hluttaw representatives need to have a thorough understanding of their respective constituencies and the wishes of the voters and the public, said U Khin Yi, Speaker of the Pyithu Hluttaw, at the meeting with Pyithu Hluttaw representatives from Mandalay Region at Thabin Hall of the Mandalay Region Hluttaw office yesterday afternoon.

MYANMAR is also grateful to and appreciative of China for being the first to come and provide assistance and support after the devastating Mandalay earthquake occurred, said U Khin Yi, Speaker of the Pyithu Hluttaw, at a meeting with Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Myanmar Ms Ma Jia.

As the Hluttaw, representing the people, will raise questions and submit proposals to be able to effectively address the desires of the people, those people can openly present their difficulties and requirements, said U Khin Yi, Speaker of the Pyithu Hluttaw, at the meeting with town elders, businesspersons and social organization members at the city hall in Magway yesterday morning.

The first regular session of the Third Pyithu Hluttaw continued its fifth day of meetings at the Pyithu Hluttaw convention hall in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday morning, with 368 of 372 Pyithu Hluttaw representatives in attendance.
