THE Myanmar Rice Federation (MRF) participated in the Myanmar-Japan Business Forum on 28 July at the Myanmar Convention Centre in Mayangon Township, showcasing local produce, exploring agribusiness investment potential from Japan and signing new partnership agreements. The federation set up an exhibition booth showcasing Myanmar-registered Japonica rice varieties, premium-quality Myanmar Pawsan rice, value-added rice products and by-products, as well as rice husk fuel pellet production and rice bran oil extraction. It also promoted agribusiness investment opportunities in Myanmar to prospective Japanese investors.

YANGON Port will handle 55 container vessels in August 2026, the Myanma Port Authority announced. Ten container vessels run by M/S Cosco Shipping Line, nine by M/S SITC ShippingLine, six by M/S One Line, five each by M/S Maersk A/S Line, M/S CMA CGM Line and M/S MSC Line, three each by M/S BLPL Shipping Line, M/S Evergreen Asia Line and M/S RCL Line, two each by M/S Samudra Shipping Line and M/S Ti2 Container Line and one by M/S Land and Sea and M/S BAY Line are scheduled to enter the Yangon Port in August.
