Performances in 3rd One- Year Period

THE Union Ministries will be holding separate press conferences on different days on their journey during the third year of the civilian government’s administration. The press conferences will all begin at 1pm and will be held at Office No. 7 of the Ministry of Information in Nay Pyi Taw.

From the 2016-2017 FY to 2018-2019 FY, the regional government has executed 351 border developmental projects using K36,990 million from the regional government funds (Taninthayi Region Chief Minister U Myint Maung)

Our region also won awards for installing clean public toilets in 2017 and 2018 and the ASEAN Public Standards Awards for 2019-2020.

During the third year of the government’s term, we have made efforts to use what is known as “soft power” to show to the world not only our culture but also positive progress achieved in other sectors as well.


“We (the current administration) hope to provide the best policies and strategies, both long term and short term, for the economic development of the region and raise the nation’s GDP’s as a whole.”


“The main focus is national reconciliation and the stability and development of Rakhine State. The National Reconciliation and Peace Center has been formed to bring about national unity and harmony in a pragmatic and effective manner. The center is being chaired by Daw Aung San Suu Kyi.”
