Chairman of the State Administration Council, Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, accompanied by his entourage, the Chief Minister of Mandalay Region and the commander of Central Command, inspected the enhancement of productivity at Tatmadaw Textile Factory (Meiktila) and No 3 Cement Plant (1,200-tonne) yesterday.

At Tatmadaw Textile Factory (Meiktila), the factory manager reported to the Senior General on implementing the guidance given by the Senior General on his inspection tour to the factory, production capacity of machines, production of yarns and textile products, and agricultural and livestock farming tasks for the welfare of employees.

In his guidance, the Senior General stressed the need to prioritize quality products rather than quantities. The factory must produce yarns and textiles to meet the demand of domestic micro, small and medium-sized industries to supply the domestic demand. He added that efforts must be made to arrange the welfare of employees.

The Senior General inspected the quality of textiles for uniforms produced by the factory and gave guidance on maintaining the quality of textiles and increasing production depending on the market demand.

The Senior General viewed round production process of yarns at the factory and gave necessary instructions to officials.

Tatmadaw Textile Factory (Meiktila) produces uniforms for members of the Tatmadaw and Myanmar Police Force in addition to school uniforms and other textile products. At a time when the government manages further contributions to the clothing of people and the development of domestic textile production, the factory extended its branch to produce 2/80 yarns in December 2024 so as to produce textiles and yarns to meet the demand of industries to some extent. Currently, the factory is operating production, meeting the set standards.

On arrival at No 3 Cement Plant (1,200-tonne) of Myanmar Economic Corporation, the Senior General heard reports on accomplishment of the guidance of the Senior General on his inspection tour, productivity of domestic cement plants, and production and sales of cement in financial years by Chairman of MEC General Nyo Saw and the plant manager.

The Senior General gave guidance to meet the cement demand of people, sell it at fair prices and manage the operation of plants at full capacity.

The Senior General observed the production process of the cement plant and gave necessary instructions to officials.
