Rescue and relief operations are ongoing in six states and regions of Myanmar that were hardest hit by the powerful earthquake on 28 March. As of yesterday, the disaster has claimed 3,770 lives, left 5,104 injured, and 38 individuals are still reportedly missing.

The Myanmar Fire Brigade is conducting clearance and rehabilitation operations. As of today, rescue teams have saved 653 people trapped under collapsed buildings and recovered the bodies of 848 deceased.

Humanitarian assistance continues to pour in from both domestic and international donors, including financial aid and relief supplies. Authorities will continue releasing updates on further donations and aid efforts for the affected communities.
