BPI PHARMACEUTICAL Factory (Insein) in Yangon is doubling production of hand sanitizers and ethanol to meet market demand amid COVID-19. Factory Manager Dr Khin Pyone Lwin said ethanol can be purchased freely in the pharmacy in front of the factory but hand sanitizers will be limited to one bottle per person, all at the factory imposed price with no increase.

UNION Minister for Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement Dr Win Myat Aye led a coordination meeting on COVID-19 yesterday.
Held with a video conference, the meeting was attended by Deputy Minister U Soe Aung, the Director-General of the Disaster Management Department and directors from Nay Pyi Taw Council and the other states and regions.
In his address, the Union Minister first thanked the staff for disseminating useful information and providing assistance in cooperation with the Ministry of Union Government Office and the Ministry of Health and Sports.

The Ministry of Health and Sports organized the 44/2020 coordination meeting in video conferencing in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday, linking with regional level health authorities, to discuss updated measures against the Covid-19.
Union Minister Dr Myint Htwe first appreciated the strenuous efforts of health officials across the country in containment measures against the pandemic, and acknowledged effectiveness of regular video conferencing.
He advised to send medicines and medical items to the respective areas immediately.
