The security forces arrested Thida Zaw, DCS of the Ministry of Education, and Phyo Min Soe, who are running the San Htike Thi garment business in Chanmyathazi Township, Mandalay Region, and Than Zaw Moe from Mingaladon Township in Yangon on 10 September for involvement in financial fraud, illegal lottery and businesses.

Union Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn yesterday visited Mahazanaka Monastery in Tatkon, Nay Pyi Taw, where he inspected the ongoing renovation of the Dhamma Hall, which had been damaged by an earthquake, as well as the repair of concrete roads within the Myanma Radio and Television (MRTV) compound. A Myanmar delegation led by Prime Minister U Nyo Saw left the Nay Pyi Taw Tatmadaw Airport by special aircraft yesterday morning to attend the 22nd China-ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO) and the China-ASEAN Business and Investment Summit. They were seen off at the airport by Member of the State Security and Peace Commission, Executive Chief U Aung Lin Dwe, Union ministers, the Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman, the deputy minister and officials.

Prime Minister U Nyo Saw, who is currently in Nanning of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region of the People’s Republic of China to attend the 22nd China-ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO) and the China-ASEAN Business and Investment Summit, received Mr Chen Gang, Secretary of the CPC Committee of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, at Liyuan State Guesthouse in Nanning yesterday evening. They exchanged views on further promotion of trade and investment between Myanmar and Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, distribution of advanced technologies in agriculture sector, cooperation in tourism sector, and establishment of friendship relations between sister cities in order to widely cooperate in various sectors between the two cities and the two countries.

THE Central Bank of Myanmar (CBM) sold over US$2.76 million to edible oil-importing companies on 12 September, in addition to selling $30,000 to fuel oil-importing companies and $83,805 to CMP companies and those who made non-trade payments.
