Vice-President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar Nan Ni Ni Aye received Ms Ma Jia, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Myanmar, at the Presidential Palace Reception Hall in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday morning.

VICE-PRESIDENT of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, U Nyo Saw, received Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Myanmar, Ms Ma Jia, at the Presidential Palace Reception Hall in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday afternoon.

The Kason Banyan Tree Water-Pouring Ceremony organized by the Government of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, was held in the precinct of Maravijaya Buddha Park in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday afternoon, attended by Vice-President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar U Nyo Saw and his wife Daw San San Aye, and Vice-President Nan Ni Ni Aye.

A ceremony to offer alms and day meals to venerable Sayadaws who attended the ceremony to mark the Buddha Day of Kason Full Moon (Vesak Day) 1388 ME took place at Agga Dhipati Sasana Beikman in the precinct of Maravijaya Buddha Park yesterday morning, with Vice-President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar U Nyo Saw and his wife Daw San San Aye and Vice-President Nan Ni Ni Aye in attendance.

The final rites of Presiding Patron of the Pali Tekkatho Mingalazeyon Monastery in Pyinmana of the Nay Pyi Taw Council Area and Ovadacariya of the Uppatasanti Pagoda Board of Trustees Aggamaha Pandita Aggamaha Saddhammajotikadhaja Pali Sayadaw Bhaddanta Vimalabuddhi, aged 79, 59 vasa, who passed away at 1:19 pm on 9 April, were held at the monastery yesterday.
