THE kingdom of Pagan is pronounced as Bagan, Pagan Period, also known as Pagan Dynasty and the Pagan Empire, and the Bagan Dynasty or Bagan Empire. It was the first Burmese kingdom to unify the regions that would later constitute modern-day Myanmar. Pagan’s 250-year rule over the Irrawaddy Valley and its periphery laid the foundation for the ascent of the Burmese language, and the growth of Theravada Buddhism.

THE 2nd Global Security Cooperation Conference of 2023, held in the People’s Republic of China from 19 to 21 September, brought together prominent officials and experts representing over 50 regional and international organizations, including Myanmar. The primary aim of this conference was to foster collaboration in security measures on a global scale.

The 20th China-ASEAN Expo saw record numbers of events, cooperation projects and investments. Nearly 2,000 businesses, up 18.2 per cent from 2022, showcased their products at the expo. High-tech products such as intelligent equipment became a highlight at the expo. Particularly, Brunei’s decision to purchase 30 Chinese-made airplanes, namely C919 and ARJ21, for more than US$2 billion in total became the biggest deal in the expo’s 20-year history.

In a nation deeply rooted in agriculture, the majority of its rural populace finds livelihoods in the cultivation of staples like paddy and other seasonal crops, catering to the ever-growing demands of consumers. Paddy, in particular, holds a significant role in shaping the daily consumption habits of the nation.

LEGAL Advocacy Training is a crucial wing for developing organizational effectiveness in a Legal Perspective. At the moment, with the guidance of the Chairman of the State Administration Council and the supervision of the Minister for Legal Affairs, the Ministry of Legal Affairs (MOLA) has conducted three Legal Advocacy Training courses. We (37 trainees from different ministries) attended Legal Advocacy Training No 3 from 8 June 2023 to 19 August 2023 at MOLA.

The Chin land of Myanmar has a rich cultural heritage and a diverse population. It has also faced many challenges. To ensure peace and promote the development of Chin Land, it is crucial for the people to come together, unite as one, and work to words a common goal.

The pursuit of lasting peace in Myanmar has been a continuous endeavour for successive governments, aiming to quell ethnic armed conflicts that have persisted since the nation’s post-independence era. Unfortunately, Myanmar has yet to achieve enduring and comprehensive peace across the nation. These conflicts, rooted in diverse political doctrines, demand political solutions.

This innovative payment system, based on the Myanmar currency Kyat and the Russian currency Rouble, has been launched with the primary aim of facilitating seamless trade between the two nations.
