VESSEL Chindwin carried 685 members of Myanmar Police Force, and 107 civilian employees from the Directorate of Military Engineers, along with relief materials and food, left Yangon on 19 May, and arrived at Essar Jetty, Sittway yesterday to carry out relief works for Mocha-hit Sittway, Rakhine State.

SINGAPORE Air Force’s two C-130s and B737-800F aircraft arrived at Yangon International Airport yesterday afternoon, carrying a total of 34.69 tonnes of emergency supplies, temporary tents, tarpaulin, Jerry Can, and shelter repair kits worth US$ 107,064. The aid was sent from ASEAN countries to assist those affected by storm Mocha.
