Union Ministers and deputy ministers responded by outlining current policies and plans, while several proposals were ruled out for the time being due to budgetary, staffing or administrative constraints.

Pyithu Hluttaw Speaker U Khin Yi, accompanied by Deputy Speaker U Maung Maung Ohn, met more than 120 faculty members and students from the International Leadership College (ILC) at the Thabin Hall in the Hluttaw Building yesterday afternoon after they observed the 21st day of the second regular session of the Third Pyithu Hluttaw.

The Pyithu Hluttaw discussed judicial integrity, road infrastructure, consumer protection, flood prevention, fisheries enforcement and livestock development as lawmakers raised 12 questions during the 21st day of the second regular session in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday. Pyithu Hluttaw Speaker U Khin Yi met with members of the Education Promotion Committee yesterday afternoon at the Hluttaw Committee Building (I-13) to discuss the strategic development of the nation’s education sector, emphasizing the need to review key education laws and prioritize Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET).

The Third Pyithu Hluttaw held the 20th day of its second regular session yesterday in Nay Pyi Taw, where lawmakers raised 10 queries covering free land transfer, free transportation services for civil servants, regional development, aquatic farming and value-added products production.

​​​​​​​The 17th-day meeting of the Pyithu Hluttaw yesterday replied to 12 questions on the supply of drinking water, dredging of silt along the river course, repair of the dam, rural electrification, installation of transformers and solar bulbs and upgrade of the sub-power station.

Pyithu Hluttaw Speaker U Khin Yi stated that arrangements must be made to further improve the respective subject-matter expertise, ethics, and integrity of Hluttaw representatives, as they primarily support and facilitate the Hluttaw functions.

The 16th-day meeting of the second regular session of the Third Pyithu Hluttaw featured the construction of a concrete bridge, upgrade of roads, deployment of teachers, construction of staff housing, transformation of the school land into the grant land, construction of school buildings, establishment of an arts and science university a teacher training college or college.
