In spite of a thick fog enveloping the Yangon River in early mornings of late, jetties and shipyards are lined with passengers from Dala Township waiting to travel to Yangon for work by ferry. Therefore, Cherry Ferry operators are trying to start operations as soon as visibility increases.
“This morning, we could not see the way clearly because there was fog everywhere. So, we could not run four routes in the early morning and kept our water buses at the jetty. But, we started operations between 8 am and 8.30 am,” said an official from the Cherry Ferry.
