1. The Anti-Terrorism Central Committee of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, exercising authority in accord with Subsection (e) of Section 6 and Subsection (b) of Section 72 of the Counter-Terrorism Law declared the Myanmar National Democratic Alliance Army (MNDAA), Ta’ang National Liberation Army (TNLA) and United League of Arakan (ULA)/ Arakan Army (AA) armed groups as terrorist groups under Notifications 1/2024 and 2/2024 dated 2 September with the approval of the Union government.

According to the Myanmar Rice Federation (MRF), rice husk gasifiers are being constructed in Bago and Ayeyawady Regions to supply the needed electricity. The report states that 1,391 rice mills in Bago Region and 543 rice mills in Ayeyawady Region are currently constructing these gasifiers. In Ayeyawady Region, rice is milled using gasifiers at 543 rice mills, and electricity is generated from four rice husk steamed boilers. Additionally, local businesses such as agriculture and fish farming are using gasifiers to produce small-scale electricity.
