THE Central Committee for Convening the 73rd Union Day in 2020 held their second coordination meeting at the meeting hall of the Office of the President in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday, where Central Committee Chairman Vice President U Myint Swe delivered a speech.

Vice President U Henry Van Thio, in his capacity as Chairman of the Ethnic Affairs, Public Affairs Management and Service Committee, delivered a speech at the coordination meeting concerning the Myanmar Ethnic Culture Festival 2020 and the Ethnic Sustainable Development Forum yesterday morning.

THE National-Level Environmental Conservation and Climate Change Central Committee held its ninth coordination meeting at the Forest Department in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday morning, where the committee’s patron Vice President U Myint Swe delivered a speech.

VICE President U Henry Van Thio received a delegation from the Universal Peace Federation led by its Chairman Dr Thomas G Walsh at the Presidential Palace in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday evening.
During the meeting, they discussed the invitation extended to Myanmar to send a high level delegation to the Universal Peace Federation’s World Summit 2020 scheduled for February 2020 in Seoul, South Korea, and the UPF and the Union government to co-host the Third Asia-Pacific Summit in Myanmar in June 2020.

A Chinese goodwill delegation led by President Mr Xi Jinping left Nay Pyi Taw for China by a special flight yesterday.

AT the invitation of President U Win Myint and First Lady Daw Cho Cho, the President of the People’s Republic of China Mr Xi Jinping and delegation arrived on an official State Visit to Myanmar and landed in Nay Pyi Taw a 12:55 p.m. yesterday.

The Chinese President was first welcomed onboard his special flight by Director-General U Min Thein of the Protocol Department and Chinese Ambassador Mr Chen Hai.

The stake-driving ceremony for constructing a community hall in the compound of the All Chin Society-Yangon (ACSY) in Ward 15 of Dagon Myothit East Township, Yangon, was held at 10 am yesterday.

Firstly, Rev Dr Yawl Bway gave blessings and Vice President U Henry Van Thio delivered a speech.

VICE PRESIDENT U Myint Swe called for stronger cooperation between public and private sectors in his address to the 11th Private Sector Development Committee Meeting yesterday in Nay Pyi Taw.

NAY Pyi Taw, the capital of Myanmar, observed the 72nd Anniversary Independence Day 2020 State Flag hoisting and saluting ceremony in front of its City Hall yesterday morning.
