The Myanmar government investigated those who entered the country via land borders passing through some neighbouring countries including Thailand and committed online gambling, telecom fraud and destructive elements in the Myawady-Shwe Kokko and KK Park areas in Kayin State. During the operation, the government exposed 1,303 foreigners from 30 January to 17 February 2025, and the authorities managed to transfer them to their respective countries under the law.
