THE Working Committee to address the impact of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) has announced that the loan repayment period will be extended for another year from the date it reaches two years for the companies/businesses that perform their operations using the COVID-19 loans effectively, and they will face action as per the terms and conditions of the loan contract if they fail to repay the principal and interest.

AN on-duty team managed by the Bago Region Illegal Trade Eradication Task Force conducted inspections on 13 and 14 November and confiscated a Yutong bus (estimated value of K30 million), headed to Yangon from Myawady, carrying four types of goods worth K10.365 million, including 40 five-litre-bottles of palm oil (Two-Shrimp brand) without official documents at the Nyaungkhashay x-ray station and a total of 4.061 tonnes of illegal teak and 1.991 tonnes of illegal timber valued at K1,340,740 in Toungoo district. The actions were taken under Customs procedures and the Forest Law.

THE Kokang Self-Administered Zone Court issued arrest warrants on 15 November 2023 to take legal action against Ming Xuechang, Ming Guoping (aka) Ming Xiaoping, Ming Julan, and Ming Zhenzhen, who have been involved in or attempting to commit, as well as collaborating on various organized crimes such as online fraud, seduction, abduction, illegal detention, and extortion in Kokang Self-Administered Zone, Shan State, according to officials.
