The Ambassadors and Heads of Mission accredited to the Republic of the Union of Myanmar solemnly signed the Book of Condolence opened at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Sagawah Street, Yangon, starting from 8 August 2025, in honour of the late Pro Tem President, U Myint Swe, who passed away on 7 August 2025.

Late Pro Tem President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, U Myint Swe, was born to U Kyee Maung and Daw Kyi in Mandalay on 24 June 1951. He attended the 15th Intake of the Defence Services Academy in 1969 and was appointed as a commissioned officer in 1973.

AS the Pro Tem President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, U Myint Swe, who had received intensive medical treatment at the Special Intensive Care Unit of No 2 Defence Services General Hospital (1,000-bed), passed away yesterday morning, his funeral ceremony will be held with State honours.

UNDER the supervision of the Steering Committee for the Prevention of Illegal Trade, special task forces have been formed to combat illegal trade in Nay Pyi Taw Council Territory, as well as in regions and states across the country. Additionally, One Stop Service teams led by the Customs Department have been established to enhance enforcement.

SOCIAL security of THB752,590 for a Myanmar worker who died from injuries when a crane collapsed at a construction site on Rama II highway in Thailand has been given, the Labour Attaché Office of Myanmar (Bangkok) announced. Naing Lin Aung, holder of passport MF992899, arrived via MoU from Trade Wind Co Ltd and was working at the site of Italian Thai Development Co Ltd, died on 15 March from a crane accident.
