Pyithu Hluttaw Deputy Speaker U Maung Maung Ohn met the Speaker and Deputy Speaker of the Mandalay Region Hluttaw, along with representatives from the Pyithu Hluttaw, Amyotha Hluttaw and the Region Hluttaw, yesterday at the Regional Hluttaw Office in Aungmyaythazan Township, Mandalay.

Mandalay Region Chief Minister U Myo Aung, regional ministers and officials also attended the meeting.

The event began with the screening of a video presentation titled “Myanmar’s Future in the New Political Landscape”.

Pyithu Hluttaw Deputy Speaker U Maung Maung Ohn then delivered the opening address, followed by a presentation by Mandalay Region Hluttaw Speaker U Aung Kyaw Moe.

Following presentations by Hluttaw representatives, the Deputy Speaker said that, in the context of the evolving political landscape and national development, the three branches of government – the executive, legislative and judicial – must work in coordination to ensure the stability of the State.

He added that the Hluttaws and the public should work together to promote national development, assess the strengths and weaknesses of the current political situation, and strive to meet the needs of voters by using their full capacity and knowledge to advance the interests of the State, the government and the people.

Afterwards, U Maung Maung Ohn toured the regional Hluttaw meeting hall and warmly greeted attendees.
