The Chief of the General Staff (Army, Navy, and Air) Lt-Gen Ko Ko Oo, accompanied by the Indian Navy Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Dinesh Kumar Tripathi, who is on a goodwill visit to the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, attended a dinner held on board the Indian warship INS Satpura (F-48), which was moored at MITT jetty in Thilawa Port, Yangon, on the evening of 5 May.

The dinner was attended by Yangon Region Chief Minister U Aung Naing Thu, senior military officers, Indian Ambassador to Myanmar Mr Abhay Thakur, Indian Army Attaché to Myanmar Colonel Jaswinder Singh Gill, Indian Naval Attaché to Myanmar Captain Manoj Kumar Pandey, and other officials.

Chief of the General Staff (Army, Navy, and Air) Lt-Gen Ko Ko Oo arrived on board the warship INS Satpura (F-48) and was welcomed by naval personnel. The ceremony then opened with the national anthems of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar and India. Officers and sailors on board the warship also performed traditional Indian songs and dances.

The Chief of the General Staff (Army, Navy, and Air), the Indian Navy Chief of the Naval Staff, and the Indian Ambassador then delivered their respective greetings. The Indian Navy Chief of the Naval Staff and the Chief of the General Staff (Army, Navy, and Air) exchanged mementoes, posed for a group photo with attendees, and attended dinner together.

After the dinner, Chief of the General Staff (Army, Navy, and Air) Lt-Gen Ko Ko Oo signed the guest book on board the Indian warship INS Satpura (F-48).
