A high-level Myanmar delegation led by Acting President and Chairman of the State Security and Peace Commission of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar Senior General Min Aung Hlaing left the Nay Pyi Taw Tatmadaw Airport by the special aircraft yesterday morning to attend the World Atomic Week Forum 2025 to be held in Moscow of the Russian Federation at the invitation of President of the Russian Federation Mr Vladimir Putin.
The delegation was seen off at the airport by Vice-Chairman of the Commission Vice-Senior General Soe Win, Commission Member and Prime Minister U Nyo Saw, Commission Member and Executive Chief U Aung Lin Dwe, Commission members, Union ministers, Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Myanmar Mr Iskander Azizov, senior Tatmadaw officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief, the commander of Nay Pyi Taw Command, and officials of the Embassy of Russian Federation to Myanmar and the Military Attaché’s Office to Myanmar.
The Acting President and SSPC Chairman of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar was accompanied by Commission Secretary and Joint Executive Chief General Ye Win Oo, Commission Member and Union Minister for Foreign Affairs U Than Swe, Union ministers U Nyan Tun, U Ko Ko Lwin, Dr Myo Thein Kyaw and Dr Thet Khaing Win, Mandalay Region Chief Minister U Myo Aung, senior Tatmadaw officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief, deputy ministers, and military and civilian officials.
The special aircraft carrying the Acting President and SSPC Chairman of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar and party landed at Tolmachevo Airport in Novosibirsk, the Russian Federation, where they were welcomed by Novosibirsk Governor Mr Travnikov Ahdrey Aleksandrovich and officials.
At the airport lounge, the Acting President and SSPC Chairman of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar and the Governor of Novosibirsk frankly exchanged views on measures to be taken to enhance cooperation.
During the discussion, the Governor of Novosibirsk and party were served with Myanmar’s traditional meals such as pickled tea leaves, tea and steamed hilsa prepared from Myanmar. They all ate the meals. The Acting President and SSPC Chairman of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar explained Myanmar’s traditional meals.
After the meeting, both sides exchanged gifts.
The Acting President and SSPC Chairman of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar and party left for Moscow, the Russian Federation, by the special aircraft, and were seen off at the airport by the Governor of Novosibirsk and members.
The Acting President and SSPC Chairman of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar and party arrived at the Vnukovo International Airport in Moscow in the evening. They were warmly welcomed by Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Mr Andrey Rudenko and officials, Myanmar Ambassador to the Russian Federation U Thit Linn Ohn, and Myanmar Military Attaché (Army, Navy and Air) Brig-Gen Kyaw Soe Oo.
