On 20 September, during an inspection of the coal-fired steam power plant in Pinlaung Township, Shan State (South), Deputy Minister for Electric Power U Aye Kyaw instructed officials to ensure that the ongoing construction and installation of the coal-drying plant strictly adheres to the necessary regulations for continuous power generation.

The Deputy Minister then inspected the ongoing repair work on the power generator No. 1 in the turbine hall and instructed staff to complete the repairs swiftly. He also ordered that the construction of the coal-drying plant be carried out according to a set schedule.

Following this, the deputy minister and party visited the coal mining site of Eden Energy & Resources Development Co Ltd. Here, he instructed officials to ensure that enough coal is mined and supplied to the plant to meet its needs when it operates at full capacity.

On the morning of 21 September, the Deputy Minister and departmental officials visited the 132-kV Kalaw Main Substation in Kalaw Township, Shan State (South). He toured the substation’s control room and switchyard, observing the status of power control, transmission, and distribution, and gave necessary instructions.
