The Myanmar team, We Are Genius Myanmar, won first prize with their AI-powered search and rescue robot vehicle at the World Robot Olympiad Asia Pacific Open Championship, held in the Philippines from 19 to 21 September.
The competition achieved success through the demonstration of a robot vehicle designed to carry out search and rescue operations with an autonomous navigation system, enabling it to enter areas affected by natural disasters where human access is difficult.
Moe Pyae Sone Kyaw, aged 11, Kyaw Bhone Khant Zaw, aged 11, and Nyan Koe, aged 12, members of We Are Genius Myanmar, competed with the teams of Hong Kong, China, Japan, Germany, Thailand, Vietnam, the Philippines, Bangladesh and Macao, and won the first prize.
The We Are Genius Myanmar, ILBC, and CIY Club representing Myanmar competed in the World Robot Olympiad Asia Pacific Open Championship.
