In his opening remarks, Steering Committee Chairman Lt-Gen Yar Pyae highlighted the NCA as a way to be conducted out of Hluttaw to establish democracy and a federal-based Union and amend or make certain additional provisions in the Constitution (2008) as per the results of the political dialogues. He added that the working committees should work together and invite the attendees to the NCA ceremony in time, and the ministries concerned carrying out development programmes in border areas should also arrange to feature the booths.
