DEPUTY Minister for Information U Aung Hla Tun delivered a speech at the opening ceremony of capacity-building training course (3/2020) conducted by the Information and Public Relations Department at its office in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday morning.
In his opening remark, the Deputy Minister explained the three-week training course on news writing, mobile journalism, financial rules and accounting, official letter writing, media and information literacy, media laws and library knowledge.
MYANMAR Motion Picture Organization (MMPO) and Forever Group donated K10 million and K20 million for the protection against, containment and treatment of COVID-19 respectively yesterday. The Central Committee for Drug Abuse Control’s Public Awareness Committee held a coordination meeting at the Ministry of Information in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.
Chairman of the Committee, and Deputy Minister for Information U Aung Hla Tun, said there are 11 committees under the Central Committee for Drug Abuse Control. Out of the committees, the Public Awareness Committee tasked with 19 works consists of 12 members.
The School Textbook Printing and Distribution Committee held a coordination meeting on the supply of schoolbooks in time for 2020-2021 academic year.
Union Minister for Information Dr Pe Myint, in his capacity as chairman of committee, presided over the meeting at his office in Nay Pyi Taw, and explained the ministry’s role in printing the school books together with private sector through tender system.
