On the 1st Waning of Tazaungmone, people from across Myanmar flocked to pay respects to the revered Maravijaya Buddha Image in Nay Pyi Taw’s Dekkhinathiri Township, the world’s tallest seated stone Buddha statue. The surrounding Buddha Park, decorated with LED lights, also attracted many visitors, who marvelled at the impressive architecture and numerous stupas and shrines within the park.

The Kayah State government is actively working to expedite the reopening of universities, colleges, institutes, and training schools within the state. The University of Computer Studies, Technological University, and Loikaw Education Degree College are set to reopen in the third week of November. On the morning of 16 November, Chief Minister U Zaw Myo Tin and officials inspected preparations at the Computer University and Loikaw Education Degree College.
