THE Methodist Church (Lower Myanmar) issued a statement, strongly condemning the acts of armed insurgents who abducted innocent people as hostages after attacking Chinshwehaw region of northern Shan State on the morning of 27 October 2023.

1.As armed insurgents attacked and destroyed some areas of townships in Shan State (North) on 27 October, some innocent people were killed and suffered from injuries.

1.It was reported that armed insurgents entered and attacked some areas of townships in Shan State (North). In the incidents, some innocent people were killed and injured.

1.Armed insurgent terrorists attacked some townships including Chinshwehaw in northern Shan State on 27 October to cause fatality for innocent people and abducted the innocent people.
