Amyotha Hluttaw MPs raise queries to MoHA, MoE

The second Amyotha Hluttaw convened the 5th-day meeting of its 16th regular session yesterday, with queries of MP to the ministries of Home Affairs and Education.

MP Daw Than Than Aye from Magway region constituency (7) asked about constructions of staff quarters at the local police stations in Yenan and Letpan of Minhla Township in his constituency.

Deputy Minister for Home Affairs Maj-Gen Soe Tint Naing replied that a budget will be submitted in 2021-2022 financial year to implement the proposed plan.

MP U Lah Min Htan from Chin state constituency (10) asked for reestablishing a police camp in Sabaungtal village of Matupi Township. The Deputy Minister answered that it will set up with an approval of Chin state government when the border market opens in this area.

MP U Ko Ko Naing from Sagaing State constituency (8) asked about the requirement of new 4WD-Double Cu cars for Myanmar Police Force in taking security measures in respective townships. The Deputy Minister said that the old cars of MPF will be substituted with new ones in the next financial year.

U Bwe Khane from Chin State constituency (3) asked about construction of a RCC two-storey building for the basic middle school in Zephine (b) village of Thantlang Township in his constituency in 2020-2021 FY.

MP Dr Zaw Lin Htut from Mon State constituency (9) asked about banning unhygienic snacks at the food stalls of schools.

MP U Zaw Hein from Taninthayi constituency (7) asked about construction of a 130x 30 ft RC building at the state high school of Thazin village in Kyunsu Township of his constituency in next financial year.

MP U Win Kyaing from Bago Region constituency (10) asked about construction a 120×30 ft two-storey building in Hmawinn village of Letpadan Township of his constituency.

MP U Myint Naing from Rakhine State constituency (5) asked for upgrade of post-primary school to an affiliated middle school and the affiliated primary school to a middle school in Kyauktaw Township of his constituency.

Union Minister for Education Dr Myo Thein Gyi answered these school-related questions.

The bill to amend Protecting Citizens’ Personal Freedom and Security was discussed by MP U Hla Oo from Sagaing State constituency (4) and MP U Soe Thein (a) U Maung Soe from Taninthayi constituency (10).
