​​​​​​​On 7 April 2025, Mr Yodying Supasri, Minister Counsellor at the Royal Thai Embassy in Yangon, together with Ms Yuwadee Thaengngam, President of the Thai Business Association of Myanmar (TBAM), and representatives from the Thai private sector in Myanmar, handed over monetary and in-kind donations – collected from Thai businesses and citizens – to Dr Myo Nyunt, President of the Myanmar Red Cross Society. The donation was made under the “Here with You #3” initiative, which ran from 1 to 4 April 2025, to support people affected by the recent earthquake in Myanmar.

Myanmar Fire Brigade forces along with foreign firefighters are currently searching and rescue works for the victims who were affected and trapped in buildings due to the earthquake on 28 March. Foreign firefighters have also arrived in Nay Pyi Taw and will cooperate with the Myanmar Fire Brigade in search and rescue efforts.
