PYITHU Hluttaw Deputy Speaker and Chairman of Joint Coordination Committee (JCC) on Hluttaw Development U Tun Tun Hein received a delegation led by Managing Director of the Bower Group Asia (Myanmar) Daw Tin May Thein (Judy Ko) at his office in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.
During the meeting, they cordially discussed to hold workshop meeting and launch courses for Hluttaw representatives to improve their technical skills and ease of Hluttaw procedures.

Eighteen people have been hospitalized after a fire broke out at Than Zay building in Yangon’s Latha Township around 6 am yesterday morning.
The fire also destroyed 42 stalls on the second floor of the 11-storey building before firefighters put it out at 9:10 am.
The building is a combination of a market area from the ground floor to the sixth floor, and residential apartments for the remaining floor. Firefighters, Tatmadaw and police officers and other personnel were able to evacuate the 85 residents of the building with no casualties reported.

U Tual Ngin read out the founding history of the Chin National Day at the event.
Then, Member U Tual Cin Paul of the Constitutional Tribunal of the Union read out the message of felicitations sent by Union President U Win Myint to the 72nd Anniversary Chin National Day.

The Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement held a coordination meeting to draft a guideline for developing action plans to close IDP camps in line with the National Strategy on Resettlement of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs).
Attending the meeting were Union Minister Dr Win Myat Aye, Deputy Minister U Soe Aung, representatives from relevant ministries, state/regional governments and UEHRD, and Prof Walter Kaelin, International Consultant from Switzerland.
