THE Illegal Trade Eradication Steering Committee is effectively taking action to halt illegal trade under the law. On 6 February, combined inspection teams conducted checks and seized various goods. At the Asia Wall container inspection checkpoint, one container containing business-related items was found without any valid documentation. At Myanmar Industrial Port, three containers holding business-related items lacked the required legal paperwork. At the Thilawa Port, two containers containing two types of consumer goods and two types of industrial materials were seized.
