“Firstly, there are three sections during the visit of the Acting President and State Security and Peace Commission Chairman of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar to China. The first one is Tianjin, the second one is Beijing, and the third one is Harbin and Chengdu.

“The first section is attending the SCO Summit 2025 Plus, whereas the second section is attending the 80th Anniversary of the Victory in the World Anti-Fascist War in Beijing, and the third one is study tours to Harbin and Chengdu.

Now, we are leaving for Beijing by express train after attending the SCO summit and meetings. The entourage of the Acting President and the State Security and Peace Commission Chairman takes this express train.

I want to talk about Tianjin first. Tianjin is located adjacent to Beijing. Tianjin is a historically significant city. The First Opium War took place in Tianjin, the first Opium War of China. It is also the nearest port city to Beijing. Tianjin is one of the most important port cities in northern China. I believe it was very meaningful that the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit and other related meetings were held in Tianjin. Out of the 26 participating countries, more than 20 attended this SCO Summit. Yesterday, the summit and all related meetings concluded. The significant fact is that during the summit, Chinese President Mr Xi Jinping highlighted the five-point principles of GGI (Global Governance Initiative). The majority of the countries supported it. Most of the countries approved it. To put it simply, what is happening in today’s world is a shift from a unipolar world to a multipolar world. In the past, global affairs were controlled by a single powerful country, but now, it has led to the control and participation of more and more countries in global affairs.

The meeting mainly focused on respecting to sovereignty of small countries. Respecting the sovereignty of small countries means that our small countries have advantages, and the powerful countries are establishing their national interests. Similarly, the small countries can ensure their sovereignty through such organizations. Therefore, we, Myanmar, proposed to be a permanent member of the SCO. I believe it will be successful.

The next one is that we discussed with Chinese President Mr Xi Jinping. In summary, the country received advantages: 1, political recognition, 2, international recognition and 3, commitment for further assistance regarding the general election after China recognizes the general election to be held in Myanmar. Moreover, we received guarantees from China for continual assistance in state stability and development programmes of Myanmar. During the meeting with the Chinese President, he pledged to continue supporting the needed assistance.

We also discussed with the Prime Minister of our neighbouring powerful country, India, Mr Modi. During the talks, we were able to discuss India’s consistent support for Myanmar, its political assurances, and its possible contributions regarding elections. Moreover, we also discussed with the Laotian President separately. We widely discussed electricity, cross-border migrant workers and so on. While attending the SCO summit, we met and discussed with other leaders of countries, including the Malaysian Prime Minister, in the meeting hall. These are successful meetings. It is also a successful discussion as we met with the leaders of regional and neighbouring countries in one place. I want to say it is a trip that brings benefits to the country.

Today, we will arrive in Beijing. When we arrive there, we will meet the Chinese Vice-President. We will attend the ceremony marking the 80th Anniversary of the Victory in the World Anti-Fascist War tomorrow. We will visit Harbin and Chengdu the next day to observe the factories, workshops, sites and departments related to Myanmar. The visit will be a successful one, and I believe it will be successful continuously.

What I want to urge our people is that we have such good situations. There is also a high international interest in the dignity of Myanmar. What we need is for all people to have a true desire for peace and unity, and establish stability and unity with the spirit of Myanmar and the Union spirit. Thanks to all.
