YANGON International Airport announced on 18 September that diplomatic passport holders and special passport holders from four additional foreign countries are now eligible for visa exemptions. Myanmar has officially granted visa-free entry to individuals holding diplomatic or special passports from Belarus, Morocco, Nepal, and Japan.

COMPANIES permitted by the Central Bank of Myanmar to buy, sell, and exchange foreign currencies are subject to the Foreign Exchange Management Law. Owing to non-compliance with the foreign exchange management regulations and instructions issued by the Central Bank of Myanmar, CBM announced the revocation of money changer licences for 123 companies on 19 September.
