Particularly for the rural population, traditional medicine is still a priority and has been carried out in the mode of preventive focus, getting along with the traditional values and the traditional art of treatment. The cultural values of traditional medicine have been handed down for generations, sustaining its potent therapeutic milestones, till the current era.

THE combined on-duty teams managed by the Customs Department captured a Toyota Hilux (approximately worth K12 million), heading to Bago from Thaton, carrying 60 18-litre jerrycan of One-Shrimp brand palm oil worth K3 million without official documents at the Mayanchaung permanent checkpoint on 13 December and 26 kinds of goods worth K21.377 million, including 1,044 China-made phone charger cables that were not mentioned in the Import Declaration (ID), from luggage at the Yangon International Airport (Import Desk) on 14 December. The action was taken under the Customs procedures.
