ON-GROUND teams have been actively working to control the outbreak of severe diarrhoea in several townships in Yangon Region, under the close supervision of the Ministry of Health and with the assistance of the Yangon Region government. From 6 pm on 9 July to 6 pm on 10 July 2024, 115 new diarrhoea patients were admitted to hospitals in Yangon Region. Among them, 22 were confirmed to have severe diarrhoea, and all patients were reported to be in good condition. By 6 pm on 10 July 2024, a total of 217 diarrhoea patients had been discharged from hospitals. Efforts to control the disease are ongoing.
