A monk residing at Kyuntaw Monastery in Papun Township, Kayin State, was wounded after stepping on a homemade landmine planted by terrorists. The explosion occurred at around noon on 9 October as the monk, Venerable Bhaddanta Tesantiya, was travelling to Yaypu Monastery.
