DEPUTY Minister for Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation U Tun Ohn inspected Yenwe (Myochaung) Permanent Nursery at milestone No 87/6 of the Yangon-Mandalay Expressway on 7 May.

The Deputy Minister, afterwards, arrived at the head office of Myanma Timber Enterprise in Gyogon forest complex in Insein Township, and instructed officials to raise the revenue for the State by increasing the production of value-added products, to meet the budget target of each financial year in line with financial regulations, to use reduced impact logging (RIL) system to generate revenue, to expand elephant protection-based tourism, and to pay attention to the promulgated law, rules and regulations.

The Deputy Minister also visited the No 10 Furniture Factory of the Wood-Based Industry Branch of MTE in Dagon Myothit (South) Township and No 4 Furniture Factory in Thingangyun Township, inspecting the production processes of the factories and coordinating the necessary measures.
