A joint team consisting of members of the Kayin State Police Force made inspections on the Hpa-An-Thaton Road near Barkap Village, Barkap Village-Tract, Hpa-an Township at 2:30 pm on 6 May.

During their inspection, Ma Thanda Soe and Ma Aye Thida were found on the suspicion of possession of 4,000 psychotropic drugs. Similarly, a joint team consisting of members of the Anti-Drug Police Force conducted inspections in Kawthoung Township at 8:45 pm. Police raided Min Min’s house on Mingala Taung Nyunt Road and confiscated 1,930 ecstasy tablets.

They are prosecuted under the Anti-Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law.
