CONVOCATION ceremonies were held at Technological Universities and Universities of Computer Studies across the county following COVID-19 guidelines yesterday.

At the convocation, Union Minister for Science and Technology Dr Myo Thein Kyaw delivered a speech with a video message.

“Convocations are being held at 16 technical universities and seven computer universities,” the Union minister said.

“Science and technology are evolving rapidly, and digitalization is becoming more and more popular. It is becoming an essential requirement for businesses and regional success,” he elaborated.

He wished good luck to engineers and computer technicians and congratulated graduates at yesterday’s convocation ceremonies. A total of 874 graduates, including 61 Master of Engineering graduates, 674 engineering graduates, 134 graduates of computer science and computer technology at computer universities, and five post-graduate diploma holders were awarded certificates by the rectors. And graduation speeches were given.

Cabinet members from each state and region, departmental officials, graduates and their parents, relatives and friends, members of the University Management and Education Committee and professors attended the convocation ceremonies.
