THREE suspects delivering supplies to Chinland Defence Force in Mindat, Chin State, were arrested on 16 and 17 September.
On 16 September, at around 3 pm, security forces arrested Kyaw Htay who delivered necessary supplies, including weapons, ammunition, money, medicines and medical equipment, to Aye Nyein Thu who provides the CDF groups (Chinland Defence Force) with these supplies.
His revelation led to the arrest of Kyaw Kyaw Tun, a related suspect, at his house in Pakokku Town, together with 1 portable X-ray, medical equipment, one oximeter and one scale, and 20 MPT Sim cards on 17 September. Security forces also confiscated one anaesthetic machine and a Toyota Tiger (Double Cab) unlicenced (grey) vehicle from his house on the morning of 18 September.
According to the confessions made by the arrested suspects, Zaw Naing Win, another related suspect, was arrested at Thayat Taw checkpoint near Thayat Taw village in Pauk Township, together with an unlicensed blue colour SURF vehicle (1D/7221) on 17 September.
Following his revelation, security forces searched his house in Hnaw village, Saw Township, and found and confiscated one 9mm pistol (Beretta), one 9mm pistol (Retay Xtreme), 135 rounds of ammunition of 9mm and 472 rounds of ammunition of 5.56.
According to the findings on the investigation, Aye Nyein Thu, the main suspect of the case, has been providing health care service to the members of CDF, under the instruction of Zaw Wai Soe, fugitive of the NUG terrorist organization. He also collects donations from the donors in and out of the country to buy ammunition and medicines for CDF.
In delivering supplies to Mindat under the instruction of Aye Nyein Thu, Kyaw Htay and Kyaw Kyaw Tun took in charge of Pakkoku; Ma Pan Wai was in charge of Pauk; Zaw Naing Win was in charge of Kyaukhtu/Saw; Ba Chit was in charge of Mindat, respectively.
One of the in-charges in Yangon and Mandalay delivered the supplies by Shwe Mandalar, Kyal Sin Moe, Ayeyawady buses to Pakkoku from which were distributed through the Pakkoku-Kanma-Pauk-Kyaukhtu-Mindat route. It was also known that they carried out the supply mission five times in September.
It is reported that the arrested three suspects will be taken effective action under the law and security forces are accelerating the investigation to identify and take action against the related suspects. People are also requested to work together for the stability and peace of the nation by informing the relevant authority about them.
