Deputy Minister for Hotels and Tourism U Phyo Zaw Soe met 38 Russian tourists currently visiting Myanmar yesterday at the Mingala Mandalay Hotel in Mandalay. The visit was organized by Radiant Tours.
The deputy minister encouraged the tourists to share their positive experiences from this trip, as well as the warmth and hospitality of the Myanmar people, with their family and friends upon returning home. He also urged them to share memorable moments captured during their travel on social media, helping to promote Myanmar’s natural beauty, diverse ethnic cultures, and tourism industry.
In response, the Russian tourists noted that they had come from different regions across Russia. They expressed confidence that news of Myanmar’s attractions would quickly spread throughout their home country upon their return.
The deputy minister also provided updates on the ongoing Russian language courses in Myanmar and discussed the convenience of using the MIR card, a payment system widely used in Russia, for transactions in Myanmar. To mark the occasion, he presented souvenirs to the visitors, and group photos were taken.
The Russian tourists are set to embark on a 10-day tour covering Myanmar’s major destinations, including Mandalay, PyinOoLwin, Bagan, Popa, Inlay, Bago, and Yangon.
