UNION Minister for Legal Affairs and Attorney-General of the Union Dr Thida Oo met Ms Ma Jia, Chinese Ambassador to Myanmar, and her delegation yesterday afternoon at the diplomatic hall of the Ministry of Legal Affairs in Nay Pyi Taw.
During the meeting, both sides discussed enhancing legal cooperation between the two countries, particularly on telecom fraud crimes, cross-border offences, online gambling and drug-related cases. They also exchanged views on provisions regarding the general elections under the Constitution, as well as the possibility of the Union Minister and Attorney-General of the Union serving as an Honorary Professor at the University of Political Science and Law in China. They then discussed necessary support for diploma courses and training programmes conducted at the Legal Awareness Centre (LAC).
