The Union-level MSME product exhibitions and competitions marking the 78th Anniversary Union Day were held in Tabaung Ground near Uppatasanti Pagoda in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday, and crowded with ministries’ staff, families, MSME entrepreneurs and people.

The event entered its fourth day, and all the booths featuring the most recent technologies and industrial equipment were crowded with visitors from different regions and states,

The in-charge personnel of galleries clarified the powerful ability of quality types of machinery, purchasing and assembling of international machinery, market demands using technologies in the future in detail, and conducted the demonstration of types of machinery.

Moreover, they briefed the sharing of information on MSME development programmes and technologies, reachable and competitive businesses to penetrate the local and foreign markets, and solutions to overcome the challenges of respective businesses. Such doings can improve the local manufacturing sector and export goods production rate, and create more job opportunities.

Similarly, the event showcased the MSME products and traditional food and costumes of different regions and states including Nay Pyi Taw, and the products and food were sold at cheap prices.

All the galleries also played songs depicting the traditional cultural dance and customs and raising patriotism and notional spirit to forge unity between the people living across the country.

In the evening, the ethnic traditional dance troupes performed actively, and the people also participated in dancing and singing events.

The exhibitions and competitions will take place from 10 to 14 February. It will accommodate some 80 booths of ministries, regions and states, traditional ethnic foods, business-to-business linkages, technological booths, foreign machinery and product booths, small-scale industries and manufacturing cooperative booths, and a total of 31 prizes will be awarded for different competitions.
