MALICIOUS media circulated false news, claiming that security forces burnt down homes in Bonbaw village in Ngaphe Township, Magway Region, after raiding the village on 23 November.

According to a security official, security forces conducted security measures in Bonbaw village on that day according to the tip-off that PDF terrorists were stationed in that village, and there was an armed engagement. Terrorists then torched houses and retreated. Subversive media outlets spread misinformation, covering up terrorist acts and misleading the people about security forces.
