ACCORDING to the Myanmar Trade Promotion Organization, the Yellow River-Mekong River Exchange Week 2024, which will take place from 10 to 14 November in Dezhou, Shandong Province, China, cordially invites Myanmar representatives to participate. Yellow River is China’s lifeline, spanning Qinghai, Sichuan, Gansu, Ningxia, Inner Mongolia, Shanxi, Shaanxi, Henan and Shandong provinces. Mekong is also an important river in Asia, running through Laos, Myanmar, Cambodia, Thailand and Vietnam across the Indo-China Peninsula. Mekong-Lancang Cooperation was also initiated in 2016. The Yellow River-Mekong River Dialogue was launched in August 2023 in Dezhou, with representatives of Mekong countries and the Yellow River.

The 2024 Yellow River-Mekong River Dialogue was successfully convened on 11 March 2024 in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam and cooperation in trade, investment, culture and sister cities relations was accelerated.
