MALICIOUS media outlets are propagating false news to create misunderstanding about the security forces, alleging that they attacked Pyasakan village in Thandaunggyi Township of Kayin State with heavy weapons on 2 May, resulting in almost three deaths and significant injured. According to a security official from the relevant area, the news is untrue, and there were no heavy weapons attacks by the security forces on that day.

Hence, this is merely a deliberate circulation of misinformation on social media platforms by subversive media aimed at politically damaging and tarnishing Tatmadaw’s reputation while sowing discord among the public.
