The relief flight of Air India landed at Yangon International Airport yesterday afternoon, carrying 63 Myanmar nationals who wanted to return to home from India during COVID-19 outbreak. A relief flight of Myanmar National Airlines also brought 30 Myanmar nationals back from Thailand in the same evening.

The 42nd ASEAN Ministerial Meeting on Agriculture and Forestry (AMAF) was held as a virtual meeting through the Blue Jeans application, under the chairmanship of Veng Sakhon, Cambodian Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, yesterday morning. The Myanmar delegation was led by Dr Aung Thu, Union Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation. They discussed how ASEAN nations could respond to consequences caused by COVID-19 to ensure the smooth progress of food security, food safety and receiving sufficient nutrition, and trade.

The Union Attorney-General Office held an opening ceremony of 10 additional law offices yesterday to expand the Pilot Law Office Programme, jointly conducted by the USAID Promoting Rule of Law in Myanmar (PRLM). At the ceremony, Permanent Secretary Dr Thida Oo explained the important role of law offices under the programme for the rule of law and interview process ahead of court proceeding. Officials from the USAID PRLM talked on their cooperation in the programme.

The Embassy of Myanmar in Seoul managed to send 115 Myanmar nationals back home by a relief flight of Myanmar Airways International (MAI) from Incheon Airport, and it landed at Yangon International Airport yesterday. Among these returnees, 6 Myanmar nationals were from Brazil while 3 each from Canada, Italy and Norway, 1 each from Germany and Russia, 5 from Indonesia, 2 from Israel, 78 from ROK, 4 from UK and 9 from US.
