THE State of Emergency was declared on 1 February 2021 and it was already announced that action will be taken against those violate the Section 144 of Criminal Procedure and commit incitement to join CDM by force on 26 February. About 1000 protesters shouting out slogans marched to the Taninthayi Region Administration Council Office in Dawei yesterday morning.

MYANMAR Police Force released a statement that the administrative officials and security forces are making efforts for enforcing the rule of law despite the riots. The required orders and instructions, which meet the needs of public for stability of state and security, are being issued and public announcements are also being released, the statement said. It was found that the protesters incite or threaten the youths to accelerate the riots in some places of the country via social media by forming networks on 28 February.

A POLICE officer namely Naing Lin Aung from Mupon Police Station in Mawlamyine, Mon State, was arrested by a crowd of protesters as he was carrying out security duty with a civilian dress yesterday afternoon. His one point-38 revolver and 18 bullets were also robbed by the protesters.Following the information on his arrest, local security forces rescued the police officer at 5 pm.
