MILITARY hospitals in various areas of the Regional Military Headquarters is setting up to give healthcare services to Covid-19 confirmed patients, according to the Tatmadaw.
Preparations are underway at station training schools, military accommodation camps, and healthcare services are provided at the completed sites.
In addition, quarantine centres are being prepared in relevant townships in collaboration with responsible officials from the Ministry of Health and Sports and other departments and charitable organizations.
Officials from respective Regional Military Headquarters inspected the preparations and provided medical equipment and supplies at the healthcare centres.
Donations of nutritious food and cash assistance were provided as needed, officials said.
Till 7 pm on 24 July (yesterday), 90 men and 63 women had tested positive with Covid-19 at Nay Pyi Taw Interrogation and Accommodation Centre. Next, 17 men and eight women at the station battalion in Ottarathiri Township, and 200 men and 174 women from Hline Township Interrogation and Accommodation Centre, Yangon Region were diagnosed with the virus. At the station battalion in Ye Mon Tat Township on the same day, 52 men and 17 women had tested positive for the virus. Next, 14 men and 14 women were diagnosed with the virus at a station training school in Pathein, Ayeyawady Region. Yesterday, a total of 71 people: 56 male and 15 female have been discharged from respective hospitals. Local medical teams and officials at respective military bases are providing healthcare services and accommodation for the Covid-19 confirmed patients, Tatmadaw stated.
